Dan Wirén – The Artist of the Quarter – Spring 2026
Dan Wirén’s exhibition “Near the Window – New Paintings and Collages” will be on display at Jakobsbergs konsthall from March 7 until April 11, 2026.
Dan Wirén’s text for the exhibition:
“In the pale winter light, I moved closer to the window, lingering on small things like seashells, stones, flowers, and colored paper.
I lift a single object – hold it – take it to my heart, after turning and twisting, yes admiring.
New to me has been cutting and pasting. It has been a way of incorporating all the leftovers, the trash, into the working process.
As usual, the point form, the circular surface, the drop, has interested me. There my old squeaky perforator has been of great help.”
