The work of Ulf Gripenholm is characterized by precision, discipline and feeling. His paintings are developed in a process based on intuition and inspiration of the moment. A kind of spontaneity, combined with reflection and self-control which makes him work on and change his paintings during a long period of time. He has been praised for his highly individual, poetical art so full of shades and tints.
